The Botswana operation transports guests, staff and freight to safari camps in the Okavango, Linyanti, Chobe and surrounding areas. 90% of our Botswana operations are conducted within the triangle described by Maun, Shakawe and Kasane. Our base is in the Wilderness Air hangar at Maun Airport, adjacent to the terminal building. This is also the location of the Wilderness Air group administrative centre.

Landlocked in South-Central Africa, Zambia is prime walking country, offering impressive diversity as well as large concentrations and numbers of animals throughout its 19 national parks. Bird life is particularly prolific and 'specials' draw birders from all over the world. Add to this numerous adrenalin activities on the Zambezi River and Zambia qualifies as an all-round excellent travel destination.

Wilderness Air Zimbabwe was started in 1999, during which year it saw spectacular growth. In subsequent years, due to the precarious situation in Zimbabwe, it also witnessed an equally dramatic decline in its tourist volumes. However, through all of the political uncertainty we have remained committed to continuing with our Zimbabwe operation. The rationale is that at some point Zimbabwe's political situation will improve and tourist volumes will return to the levels previously enjoyed.
